Welcome to Web Building

Building pages for the web is both fun and challenging. It's fun because you can quickly and easily create a page and see the results. It's challenging because the web is a new medium and we're all still learning what does and doesn't work. You're now part of this learning and building process. Welcome! The more good ideas that get tossed out there and the more voices that participate, the more interesting the web becomes.

The set of tips you see here is a group of some things you might want to keep in mind as you build your sites. They are some of the tenets that we try to follow as we create our sites. They aren't rigid rules -- in fact, the number one rule might be that nothing is rigid on the web and sometimes the best results come from breaking the rules. But these tips are a good place to start.
